Can a belly button be lowered? (Photo)

I had a tummy tuck 3 years ago. Everything is great except that the new position of my belly button is really high. I have hardly any distance between my belly button and my breast. Making it really difficult to find a swim suit. Almost all of the tops I try on look like the band of the swimsuit top is sitting just above my belly button.

Hello, thank you for your question. It is hard to tell without a physical examination, however, you may benefit from a Tummy Tuck revision, I recommend you to schedule an email, Skype or in-person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon for proper evaluation.

Hello! Thank you for your question. It might be possible to lower the belly button with a Tummy Tuck revision or Mini Tummy Tuck. However, it's hard to know if that's best in your particular case without an evaluation nor seeing pictures.

Hello and thank you for your question.  The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  It is possible to lower the belly button during a revision tummy tuck.  This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon.   Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.

but it may create scarring or the need for a redo with floating of you belly button.  You could have your belly button removed and a  new one reconstructed lower.  So many options and if your surgeon cannot offer you everyone from which you can choose, you should find one that can.

This can happen and it can be fixed but means you will have a small vertical scar where the old site used to live.  A picture would be helpful.
