Can the distance between your eyes increase as you grow older?

So, my father has a really close eye set, but my mother has a really wide eye set. My eyes are standing kind of close to each other compared to my facial bone structure, but it seems like the distance between them have a little increased since 1 year ago. I don't know or that is possible, or that my face is just changing (when I was younger I had an oval face but it becomes more square like my mother). By the way, is there anyway to make them seem further apart without makeup?
