I have a burn scar from lipo. Have I been over quoted for removal of the scar? (photos)

This is A SHAME.  Should have never happened.  The cost to fix will be more than your liposuction if you go to an expert and pricing is based on the individual doing the procedure.  And I suggest a formal evaluation as cutting would get rid of it but lasers may be a possiblility.  An in person consult is needed.  Best, Dr. Emer.

If the price is more than you feel is right for you, consider a second opinion as it is likely that you can have this improved for less under local anesthesia. 

It's a free market so plastic surgeons can name their own price.Equally, patients have the choice to choose whom they go to.some surgeons are more competent than others and warrant a higher price.In your case I would first and foremost recommend you follow up with your plastic surgeon who owes you a scar revision.Considering what you have gone through I would expect that perhaps the plastic surgeon may have even refunded your money or should be willing to help pay for your revision surgery if you choose another doctor.medical insurance May also cover your surgery.I suggest you follow up with your plastic surgeon.You can always shop around for discount surgery.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
