Can you hide a bulging vein in your temples with filler?

Question

After getting voluma 2 days ago in my temples, an ugly vein started bulging out along the side of my head. I guess it was always there but not this noticeable until now. Now it really sticks out. What can I do to get rid of it or make it less noticible? If it doesn't go down, can I hide it with a little more filler? Or have it removed?

Enlarged veins in the temples can show more after temple filler injections. The good news is that these usually resolve in few weeks. This is a know effect of the temple fillers but it tends to settle down. I hope that helps and best regards, Dr. Sapijaszko.

This can happen and usually settles down about 1-2 weeks after injections.  I suggest cannula injections in the future as this limits complications as well. If it doesn't resolve you can camoflage the area or use lasers for treatment.  Best, Dr. Emer.

I would wait for a week or two before you do anything about this issue.  The vein was always there and perhaps where the filler was placed, it make the vein appear more visible.  Within the first few weeks, some of the swelling with filler goes down and you might be happier.I find that occasionally a feature like a vein becomes more apparent.  It's not the fault of the practitioner, it's one of the issues that occur when you change the topography of the skin with fillers.If the vein is still bothering you, go back and see your practitioner and discuss with him or her.
