Can you hide a bulging vein in your temples with filler?

After getting voluma 2 days ago in my temples, an ugly vein started bulging out along the side of my head. I guess it was always there but not this noticeable until now. Now it really sticks out. What can I do to get rid of it or make it less noticible? If it doesn't go down, can I hide it with a little more filler? Or have it removed?

I love voluma into this area and yes it can be swollen and uneven for a few weeks.  I suggest speaking to your physician if you are concerned.  Cannula injections limit complications long term.  Best. Dr. Emer.

Thank you for your question.  It is normal to have a small amount of redness following injections of Voluma, but redness does not usually persist for two weeks.  It would be best to speak with your injector and discuss your concerns. They will need to know additional information...

This is likely due to the needle hitting the bone.  This is why i use cannulas for the majority of my inejctions, to limit pain swelling and complications.  This will resolve, if you are worried speak to your physician.  Next time see an expert injector.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Symptoms include pain, change in color, swelling, skin breakdown or pus pimples.  I suggest if you are concerned to see your physician.  This is a rare complication but can occur from direct injection into a vessel or from compression of the filler around a vessel.  Best, Dr. Emer.
