Can custom cheek implants give width and structure to the upper face?

Hello and thank you for your question.  Cheek implants can add volume and width to the upper face in the appropriate patient.  I always use a medpor implant with screw
fixation, which stays in place over time.  I custom fit this for each patient's bone structure.  A silicone cheek implant has a
high rate of malrotation over time.  Make
sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients
who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and not just a computer
animation system. The most important aspect is to find a
surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a
qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

 Hello loveandpeaceCheek implants are available in a range of different shapes and sizes, they are mostly customized to fit a specific facial structure. Fillers such as Juvederm Voluma, Radiesse and RestylaneLyft are great alternatives to cheek implants, also fat transfer or injection can be done.

Implants are a wonderful option for improving width and providing structure.  I recommend cheek implants for patients that have a bone deficiency or seeking permanent options for cheek augmentation.  This is the only option that will create a permanent result and will be cost effective overtime.  With all surgery, there are risks involved, but with a qualified surgeon you have a great chance of having a wonderful outcome. Yes. There is a variety of shapes and sizes available so custom made implants are rarely needed. In-service evaluation with a board certified plastic surgeon would help. Good luck.

The value of custom cheek implants is that they create augmentation effects that exceed what standard cheek implants can do. This is most manifest in the zygomatic arch area, both in extension and width. This may be what you are referring to by adding structure to the uoper face.

 Cheek implants are manufactured in a large assortment of sizes, thickness and shapes. A full set of facial photographs and an in-person examination are going to be required to make a determination about what can be accomplished. Hi.  Thank you for your question.  Cheek implants come in all shapes and sizes.  There are a variety within each implant company and I don't believe you would need to have any implants custom made.  Your surgeon should be able to locate which implant suits you and your face.  Best of luck to you.
