Does butt implants last forever or do they need to be replaced?

Do butt implants last forever I do you have to get them my place after 10 years? If but implants are not changed after years, do they deform and drop extremely?

Dear butthead,     Unlike fat injection to the butts which disappear completely or almost completely after 6 - 12 months, silicone butt implants do not disappear. They do not have to be replaced unless they break and in my over 12 years of experience with butt implants surgery it never occured. The 2nd most important factor, after selecting the right surgeon, is following  up on doctor's instruction post operatively. Deviating from those instruction can result in complications like hematoma, wound break down,  infection and implants displacement that might result in implants removal or corrective surgery. So, when you decide to have butt implants surgery, you have to have total commitment to the recovery process. Additionally, do your due diligence because not all results are the same since there are different techniques and the implants come in different shapes, size and softness.  Always, consult with board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center. Most importantly, check the before and afrer pictures to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive. Not many implants in the human body last forever and Butt Silicone Implants are no different. Thought they are firmer, more cohesive than breast implants they can migrate, get infected, cause discomfort, capsular contracture, etc. Fat transfer in general has replaced for the most part the use of implants in the majority of cases.

Forever is a really strong word. No one can guarantee they will last forever, but they don't have an specific time when you must change them. As every implant have the risk of the need of replacement , but this is not common.Regards,Dr. Luis Redondo

Nothing last for a lifetime, some part of your life you will have to change it. It will depend into your lifestyle and the reaction from your body to the implant.

You have to do an MRI every 5 years to verify the conditions of the implant.

Last generation implants have less possibilities for a rupture.

If the implant is well place it won't drop or have a fake look.
