Bellafill results. I don't see any difference in my face. What's going on?

I would avoid bellafill to the tear trough, altough one syringe is typically VERY little even for acne scarring. I suggest you post photos so we can give an opinion on the contouring really needed for your periocular and cheek area.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Bellafill can certainly be used near the tear trough but only with great care. The filler really needs to be quite deep so as to avoid an surface contour irregularities. With regards to your specific concern, one syringe simply might not be enough. The other thing to consider is that there is a stage in which the Bellafill result does seem to diminish a bit as the collagen is being absorbed (usually at 1-3 months). However, in the next phase the when new collagen is being laid down around the PMMA, the results will get better again. So the decision to add more should certainly be influenced by how long ago you had the filler placed. I hope that helps and best of luck. 

It sounds like you need more. I don't have a problem with injecting Bellafill in the tear troughs but some docs don't recommend it. This area needs to be done very skillfully or you could be problems with visible lumps. Restylane is a great choice for this area and love to place it there with cannulas.

Congratulations on your decision to use Bellafill. It is a tremendous filler but remember that Bellafill
is supplied in 0.8 cc syringes and that is not a lot of filler, especially if
you have it placed in multiple areas. The
great news is that, unlike other fillers, the volume you add does not go away,
so if you did not get the correction you were looking for you simply need to
add a little more. Since Bellafill is so
long acting, it is always better to be conservative with it anyway.
