My pores on my nose are huge, and I have trouble breathing freely. Will a rhinoplasty help my problem?

Over the last 10 years I have suffered from sinus infections and allergic rhinitis. The skin on my nose is very thin and will bleed at times.

a rhinoplasty is designed to improve the shape of the nose. It really has no role in improving the pore size at all. I’m fact, it may increase pore size for a time. If you have a deviated septum, this may be treated with a septoplasty either by itself or in conjunction with a rhinoplasty. Your air filters called turbinates may also be treated if they are very swollen. An appointment with a plastic surgeon or ENT surgeon should be made to see if these issues are present in your case.

No surgery is going to help with skin pores. Endoscopic sinus surgery is performed when patients have polyps in their sinuses creating chronic and extensive sinus infections. Allergic rhinitis is treated with medications and allergy desensitization shots. Rhinoplasty is performed for cosmetic purposes to change the shape of the nose. The size of the pores will not cause you to have trouble breathing. There are numerous causes of nasal airway obstruction .You should consult with a certified plastic surgeon to discuss the reasons and treatment options for your problem.Thank you for your question.
