One of the most common goals of both functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty surgeries is to address external deviations of the nose. Such deformities can be related to bony and/or cartilaginous sidewalls  of the nose, or internally related to the midwall partition (septum). Depending on the cause, different maneuvers with obviously different prognosis for success are implemented. Thus usually an in-person examination with careful palpation and assessment of the nose internally and externally is required to give a detailed answer to such questions on deviations.

Your nose could be improved with rhinoplasty, which would give permanent improvements. When you meet with a facial plastic surgeon, he or she will consider your nose in balance with your other features. You can bring some photos of noses that you think would be flattering to your face and these can be discussed.  I hope this helps.

best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  Rhinoplasty surgery can improve nasal symmetry and can be designed to improve nostril symmetry.   Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most
important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend
that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who
can evaluate you in person.
