Can Kybella cause Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia?

Question

I am looking for a non-surgical procedure for submental fat (double-chin) and am considering Kybella and CoolMini. In my research I have found that although rare, CoolMini can cause Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia (PAH). Both procedures are similar in price and would require at the minimum two treatments to see some moderate improvement. I am leaning towards Kybella, but want to know if Kybella could cause PAH at all? Thank you!

Probably one of the best treatments  for submental fat is liposuction combined with Thermitight especially n younger individuals That might work better than Kybella or CoolMini.RegardsDr. J

I have yet to hear or experience of anyone suffering from PAH due to treatment with Kybella unlike Coolsculpting.

As far as I'm aware, Kybella should not cause PAH.  You are correct that it is possible to develop PAH after CoolSculpting however.

Unfortunately I see many people with PAH after CoolSculpting because they weren't ideal candidates and yet, it was done anyway. I have one of the top Kybella accounts in the nation. I have not seen one case of PAH. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and
