Facial acupuncture should not dissolve the fillers put in your face, However, I would still avoid the areas filled when having acupuncture done.
Acupuncture can not dissolve fillers. You have to literally inject the enzyme called Hylenex in order for HA to breakdown and dissolve. However, I would stay away from area where you had fillers place to prevent movement. Hope this helps, Dr. Thuy Doan. Atlanta
Acupuncture needles are superficial. However avoid any needles in areas that have been injected with dermal fillers. Why? Introduction of bacteria into these areas. If you have had acupuncture in these areas, just watch for any redness or swelling.
