I'm getting nervous. I received Sculptra injections 15 days ago. By the next morning, my under eyes were very puffy and swollen, almost like an edema. The Dr did not inject under my eye, so im not sure why I'm swelling there. About 5 days in, I also started bruising. Both the swelling and bruises are both still there, and I still look like I may have edema under one eye. Is this normal after 15 days?

Answer: Bruising After Sculptra Thank you for your question. Having bruises is not common after Sculptra treatments unlike a little bit of swelling for a couple of days. I recommend you see your injector for a follow up as soon as possible. All the best!

Answer: Sculptra treatment Your doctor may have inadvertently decreased the lymphatic drainage from around the eyes area that resulted in some puffy lower eyelids. Delayed bruising might be a result of some minor blood vessel damage. Most of the time delayed bruising appears if you had taken aspirin maybe the day before your injection procedure. Both temporary swelling and bruising are common side effects. Please massage the areas of injection as you must have been instructed (very important with Sculptra) and see your doctor for further consult. Good luck!!
