I had round 1 BBL last year. 2 months later I developed an area of lump on my right hip. If I push it, it kinda moves. I had to get MRI done of my whole pelvic for a different condition and it showed fat necrosis in my butt different areas. But the only one that's Visible is, is on my right hip... I wanted to get round 2 BBL. Can I still do that if fat necrosis?? Or can it be removed? Am I at risk and shall I not even doing BBL revision!
Answer: BBL revision Dear Dreamy83, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, you should resolve the issue with fat necrosis before you get another BBL surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Can I get a round 2 BBL if I have fat necrosis? Fat necrosis, whether in the buttock or elsewhere, usually involves the feeling of a hardened discrete mass that is the calcified dying or dead fat. Treatment may include massage, tincture of time, as most of these go away with time. Occasionally, these areas may have to be excised. There are probably multiple reasons for this to occur, some of which are not entirely preventable. These revision surgeries after previous BBL and fat necrosis can prove challenging. The depth of fat necrosis as well as the amount will determine success to some extent. Both procedures can be performed during one surgery. The revision implies that scar tissue will make the surgery much more difficult on the surgeon. This needs to be done very carefully to avoid skin sagging. This can be tricky as skin and tissue distensibility may preclude any further improvement in shape or dimension with revisional attempts. Selection of a PS who has performed numerous successful BBL revisions is key to the outcome.

Answer: Considering round two BBL after fat necrosis from round one BBL Well it really depends on your results from round one BBL. If you are satisfied with the augmentation gained from round one BBL then it makes sense to consider round two BBL. If not, then you may want to strongly consider switching over to the relatively more safe, reliable and permanent option of buttock implants. Glad to be of help.

Answer: BBL Round 2 You need to get yourself an appointment with a board-certified plastic surgeon with many years of experience performing liposuction/BBL. You may need a BBL revision to sort out any contour irregularities. If you are a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) revision, the optimal outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD,FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
