My doctor told me it’s best not to touch the chin area because it’s more prone to infection, but it looks a bit too pointy for me. Should I wait until the swelling goes down before I judge or should I try to adjust it while it’s still malleable? I wanted an anterior projection with more of a squarish chin from the frontal view. The profile view looks fine, but when I’m looking down it appears too pointy head on.
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Radiesse in Chin Hi and thank you for your question! While we can make some reshaping and adjustment right after injection of filler, manipulating it later on is less likely to reshape it. I wouldn't be concerned with infection, but one think to keep in mind is that if you just had the injection done, you are most likely still experiencing some swelling which can affect the results and what you see know is not necessarily the final look. I suggest you allow more time for the swelling to go down and then by 2 weeks after the injection if you are not happy with the results, do a follow up with your doctor. I hope it helps and good luck!

Answer: Radiesse for chin augmentation. If it has been some time since injection I would say that manipulation of the filler will not work. It will wear down with time. Make sure you let your injector know for the future. Hope this helps. JB

Answer: Radiesse adjustment If you just got the injection, then you may want to wait a few days to allow the inflammation and swelling to lessen. If you still have the same concerns, then you should bring them to the attention of your injector. Regular, firm massage early after injections can soften contours, either by helping reduce the swelling or mold the filler. Your practitioner may try to alter the shape manually or may instruct you on massage. Alternatively, your practitioner may be able to thoughtfully add filler around the area with greatest prominence in an attempt to achieve the "squarish chin" you desire.

Answer: Pointy chin Thank you for your question. There should be no problem with you massaging and molding that area and it should help, if you were injected in the past few days.
