How long will it take to become a Norwood 7?

The time it takes to reach this stage of baldness will differ across individuals. Hello and thank you for your question. It is virtually impossible to predict how long it will take to become a level 7. I understand your frustration and anger being 24 years old and losing hair. However it is better to wait a couple of more years to get a transplant. You are going to continue to lose hair and you don’t want to deplete your donor area. You definitely have significant hair loss at 24 years of age with combined miniaturization of the remaining hair.  Without medical management such as with Finasteride you will likely progress to at least a Norwood 6/7, especially if you have a strong family history.  Without having a crystal ball, I cannot provide specifics on a timeline for completion of the hair loss process, but it may occur by age 30.
I feel that there is no need to wait for the final progression. Successful hair transplant can completed on younger patients with advanced hair loss if a conservative approach is used - The surgeon must focus on the frontal hairline and middle scalp, conservative height of the hairline and minimal focus on the crown.
