How long will it take to become a Norwood 7?

I am 24 and was wondering how many years left until I become a Norwood 7 as I would like to get a hair transplant at Norwood 7 so I don't have to take medication due to side effects.

The time it takes to reach this stage of baldness will differ across individuals. Environmental factors such as sun exposure and poor lifestyle habits can certainly speed up the rate of hair loss, for example. However, not everyone is genetically predestined to even reach this severely bald stage.. However, if you are going to get a hair transplant at Norwood 7, the remaining follicles on your scalp will not be enough to improve your coverage. At my office, the Dr.U Hair and Skin Clinics in Los Angeles, we have developed specialized technology which allows us to safely harvest body hair and expand the patient’s donor pool This allows younger men like you to benefit from a hair transplant early on, without the possibility of running out of grafts at some point. Hello and thank you for your question. It is virtually impossible to predict how long it will take to become a level 7. I understand your frustration and anger being 24 years old and losing hair. However it is better to wait a couple of more years to get a transplant. You are going to continue to lose hair and you don’t want to deplete your donor area. You definitely have significant hair loss at 24 years of age with combined miniaturization of the remaining hair.  Without medical management such as with Finasteride you will likely progress to at least a Norwood 6/7, especially if you have a strong family history.  Without having a crystal ball, I cannot provide specifics on a timeline for completion of the hair loss process, but it may occur by age 30.
I feel that there is no need to wait for the final progression. Successful hair transplant can completed on younger patients with advanced hair loss if a conservative approach is used - The surgeon must focus on the frontal hairline and middle scalp, conservative height of the hairline and minimal focus on the crown.

You defined have advanced male pattern hair loss , but there is not set time line for losing hair. Taking medications is suppose to slow down future hairloss.
