Noticed deep lines on the wrist & wrinkles on hand. Please suggest some treatments to cure these lines & wrinkles. Am in my mid 30's, have noticed none on my age mates hands. What could be reason for me catching them so soon:(
Answer: A Melapeel can help tighten the skin and reduce appearance of fine lines for a more rejuvenated look. Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Radiesse and good skin care for hand aging Radiesse is a dermal filler that is used to add volume and smooth out wrinkles and lines on the skin. It is made from calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel. When injected into the skin, the filler works to lift and plump up the skin, giving it a more youthful and smoother appearance. If you have noticed deep lines and wrinkles on your wrist and hand, there are a few treatment options that you can consider. One option is to use a dermal filler like Radiesse to add volume and smooth out the wrinkles. Another option is to use a topical skin care product that contains retinoids or alpha hydroxy acids, which can help to improve the texture and appearance of the skin. It is generally recommended to treat wrinkles and lines sooner rather than later, as the skin tends to lose collagen and elasticity as we age, which can make the wrinkles and lines more pronounced over time. By treating the wrinkles and lines early on, you can help to prevent them from becoming more severe and harder to treat. It is also important to use a good quality sunscreen and to protect your skin from the sun to help prevent further skin damage.

Answer: Hand rejuvenation and maintenance Thanks for your question and photos. Some of the lines just develop naturally as we use our wrists and fold the skin repeatedly, which can't be helped. As far as making sure you don't get any sun spots or age spots on the hands, a good quality zinc and/or titanium dioxide containing sunscreen is critical every day. You can get sun damage even through window glass, so even if you aren't specifically going outside, we get sun on the hands most days driving or even just going to and from work or school. You can talk to your dermatologist about chemical peels to help keep the surface more even, and consider laser treatments if you have a skin type that lasers would be safe for, so best to get an evaluation from an expert in person. Good luck!
