I broke my nose when I was 15, never realized anything happened, nor went out to seek help. My whole nose apparently shifted in a slanted way (only slightly), including the septum. I was wondering if it could be re-broken and pushed back into place with no cosmetic changes other than restoring the structure, even after the bones have fused. My ENT said it's fixable.
Answer: YES- I Recommend Rhinoplasty | Facial Plastic Surgery | Nose Job Expert | Nasal Asymmetry | Crooked | Broken | Beverly Hills Hello and thank you for your question. I actually answered your similar question from 5/8/24. To help other people with similar questions, I have copied my answer here as follows: Addressing some asymmetry to your nose (especially if you have a history of nasal trauma) is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. An open septorhinoplasty can best address both your aesthetic concerns and any functional issues with your nose. I would be able to address your old injury, improve your breathing, make your nose straighter and more symmetric, and adjust the size, shape, and definition of your nose! This truly a surgery of millimeters- and whether you're looking for a minor adjustment or a major transformation, it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve functional and natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually). I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Correction of nose after trauma You will require a formal rhinoplasty in order to correct the nose deformity. It will include cutting of the nose bones (lateral, possibly medial osteotomies), correction of septum (septoplasty), and any additional procedure that may be needed to create normal looking nose with functional airway. Good luck.

Answer: Septorhinoplasty Hi - it’s definitely possible to straighten out your nose without changing too many other things. It would be important to know if you are having any breathing difficulties and during a consultation with your plastic surgeon you can discuss your goals in terms of appearance and agree on an approach customized to you.
