I have a quite normal size nose and overall happy with the shape but when I smile it gets very big and it's very expandable, what can I do about this problem ?

You're a beautiful young lady, and if you're overall happy with the appearance of your nose, please do not do rhinoplasty for your singular concern. Everyone's nose gets wider with smiling, and yours doesn't look unusually wide, in my opinion. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph

You have a beautiful smile. I don’t think you really need anything. However a simple alarplasty  would narrow your nostril base a bit in a way that might correct what bothers you. It’s simple and can be done under local anesthesia

Alarplasty is the best solution
Alarplasty is a very fine and quick procedure that can narrow the nostrils and reduce the flare to soften the appearance. It has other names as well like ‘Weir Excisions’ or ‘Nostril Reduction’. Nose widens with smile: when we smile the movement of the muscles of the cheeks pulls the nostrils wider apart so the base of the nose appears wide. This happens with all of us. If someone has white-based nostrils to begin with,then they may get excessively wide when smiling. You do not show a basal view of your nose, meaning a picture from underneath the nostrils looking up at the nose, Which would help determine whether your nostrils are white based. But if they are, a nostril tuck , also called an alar plasty, is a simple procedure which can be done in the office under local anesthesia.

you will benefit from an alar reduction and droopy tip correction if the tip muscle is hyperactive. It can be done under local anesthesia as a daycare surgery.

An alar plasty can accomplish narrowing wide nostrils statically. To reduce the dynamic flare requires releasing the ligaments that are attached under the alar wings. This procedure can be performed under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure
