Can a rhinoplasty correct a piggy nose that has occurred due to a lip lift?

Question

I want to get both rhinoplasty and a lip lift procedure. Through research, I have found that it would be more beneficial to do one at a time, despite the temptation to combine surgeries. Most say rhinoplasty first(due to the philtrum elongating) however, the nose is my primary concern. A lip lift could ruin a perfect nose job. I would rather gain some philtrum. Could rhinoplasty correct a potentially distorted nose due to lip lift? Thinking lip lift first…then rhinoplasty.

I published a widely cited paper several years ago which showed that it is absolutely safe to do both simultaneously. This allows you to adjust the lip and the nose precisely where you want each, and, saves the patient (you) both time and money.

Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can understand from your question you need to do these 2 surgeries at one time because of the scar tissue. This surgeries have same scar area and when you do one after another you mgiht have a bigger scar under the nose. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best Regards!

I know lip lifts are all the rage these days but there are plenty of unhappy patients out there. The main problem is that the lip lift doesn’t really do what you think it will. Instead of the lip being pulled up, it pulls the nostrils down sometimes causing what one patient called “monkey face”. Lip

Much more information is needed, such as a full set of facial photographs in order make a determination about two different surgical procedures. In our practice, we do not perform a lip lift due to very poor scarring that we have seen from multiple patients having it done elsewhere. A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish making Refinements to your nose with all the incisions placed on the inside. No external incisions are required, and no painful packing is required either. Rhinoplasty is the most difficult procedure to  perform correctly in the entire field of cosmetic surgery, so choose your surgeon wisely based on extensive experience
