Is it okay to have a conch piercing on an ear which was pinned back 16 years ago? (Photos)

Hi there, I recently had a conch piercing through my ear - which I had pinned back some 16 years ago. The back of the jewellery has been pierced through a thick, raised scar. Is this ok? Maybe it has gone through permanent sutures

The earlobe can be restored with a flap reconstruction using the tissue behind the ear and below the ear. The tissue is attached initially and then the attachment has to be separated once the blood supply had re-grown in. This is a 2 stage procedure. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
