Burning sensation and discomfort 14 months after breast augmentation. Is this normal this far out?

I am 44 years of age. My weight is 56 kg and height is 1,59cm. My skintone is very light. I had my breast augmentation 14 months ago in October 2021. I am experiencing a burning sting like discomfort when lying on my left side on side of breast. Or sometimes when reaching for something. Is that normal 14 months post op? Not sure if the muscles have not healed properly yet?

It is not common to begin experiencing burning and discomfort 14 months after surgery with no obvious injury.  I encourage you to visit with your surgeon for an evaluation.

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Your muscles have healed by now, but you may have some scar tissue that has built around a small sensory nerve. Massage may help, or a nerve block. Please reach out to your surgeon.
