Will taking 300mg of aspirin 1 week post FUE affect newly implanted hairs?

Question

I am 1 week post FUE and healing has gone really well. Due to a separate issue I have been told by my GP to take 300mg of aspirin every day for the next two weeks, reducing to 75mg for a couple of weeks after. My FUE surgeon has indicated that this may not be good for the transplanted hair, which is really bothering me! Are there any other opinions on the affects of aspirin on newly transplanted hair?

Asprin will not damage your grafts after a week from your HT. It is even good to take Asprin for 10 days after the HT for blood circulation. You might want to get an advice from your surgeon too.

Taking aspirin 7 or 10 days post op should not cause a problem for FUE healing or graft growth. Before 7 days post-op could pose a problem.

Aspirin can cause bleeding during FUE surgery.  A week later there should be no problems with taking aspirin.  However, your surgeon will know details about you and your case and may have reasons for you not to take aspirin- ask him/her what the specific concern is for you and decide what is best for you.
