Which weight loss surgery should I choose? Liposuction, gastric balloon or lap band?

With a BMI of 27 your are not obese, you are simply overweight.  You do not meet criteria for gastric bypass or lap band surgery.  I would recommend weight loss via diet and excercise and possibly a body contouring procedure to incentivise further weight loss. 

Without photos- it is difficult to comment accurately. Generally speaking- it does not appear that a gastric balloon or lap band-- would be in your best interest at this time. A good set of photos- would help determine if you are a candidate for liposuction and/or abdominoplasty. 

Liposuction is not a method of weight loss so I suggest you consider another method. You can consider it after you've lost weight another way, such a healthy diet and exercise regimen. Then, if you have pockets of stubborn fat, liposuction can address them.  

Hello, hope you are well. A BMI of 27 would classify you as overweight, considering a normal BMI ranged from 18.5-25. If lifestyle changes have not helped in your weight loss process, you would benefit from being evaluated by a certified bariatric surgeon in order to determine your eigibility for a gastric balloon. For someone whom wants to loose 20-50 pounds, I would recommend the Orbera Gastric Balloon along with diet and exercise. You just need a kick-starter to get you back in the game of losing weight and being healthier. But you must be ready to make some changes. I would encourage you to make a consultation appointment and go over your medical and weight history in order to determine if this is the best method for you. 

You may be a decent candidate for liposuction. That can only be assessed by an exam to determine how you distribute your fat. However the one thing that I am positive about is this. Liposuction is absolutely NOT a weight loss solution. If you need to lose weight then lose it by diet according to the stats you mentioned, or live with it if you have tried everything. (I don't think you are a candidate for surgical weight reduction procedures but I would consult an expert in this field. However I have seen more problems with people who couldn't lose their weight then try liposuction in a last ditch effort. The results are usually very predictable...short term success and satisfaction that eventually leads to return of weight. Adding to the problem is that the fat returns to areas that were not suctioned leading to a change in body form which is usually not desirable. There is no reason you have to have fat return if you can remain disciplined, but that is hard for all of us. (I have lost and gained 35 lbs several times in my life so I know how hard it is...but diet and exercise is the best way to lose weight. )if you are at a weight that you can maintain and all you are concerned about are pockets of fat, then liposuction may be for you. If you want weight loss then liposuction is not the answer. good luck 

No posted photos do no way to comment. But your ht vs wt are not bad maybe Lipo but not gastric surgery!!!

You've tried liposuction without the weight loss results you were looking for. As the plastic surgeons on this forum have indicated, liposuction is not effective for weight loss but rather for contouring or reducing certain problem areas.  Since you want to minimize your risk, the best choice for you would be the intragastric balloon.  It is effective to cause a 25-30 lb weight loss, but unlike the Lap Band, does not require general anesthesia to be placed into your stomach.  Either of those options would have the devices placed "off label," but if you have struggled with weight for some time and failed more conservative management, it seems like a reasonable next step.   Between the two, I would recommend that you have the balloon placed and see how you do.  If the weight does come back over the year or two following removal of the balloon, you can always decide to then have Lap Band surgery.
