Dr. Maytorena is an outstanding surgeon that I would recommend to anyone wanting to have any gastric surgery. His bedside manner is also noteworthy. He truly cares about you and wants you to succeed in this journey. More about the surgery, I have had 4 surgeries before my gastric bypass and this was the easiest of them all. Almost 2 weeks out and I still am shocked about how easy my recovery has been. Even my doctor here in the states was impressed by Dr. Maytorena's skill and how well I have healed. That was 1 week to the day after my surgery by Dr. Maytorena. I can't recommend him enough. I would give him a hundred stars if I could.

Dr. Maytorena was absolutely amazing throughout my entire experience. Before the surgery, he took the time to sit with me, answer all my questions, and ensure I felt completely comfortable and at ease. His warm and caring approach made all the difference. Post-op was practically pain-free, which I credit to his skill and attentiveness. Dr. Maytorena checked in with me at least twice a day, genuinely interested in how I was feeling and if there was any discomfort. Surgery March 19 weight was 199. On May 5th weight is 171. Reuben assisted so well with coordination of the trip, Edgar terrific with transportation, and all of the female nursing staff was pleasant. While in the hospital: Heated blanket (was needed) Companion was truly appreciated Ice chips Apple juice Following surgery: 1st day recovery was the most painful so pain meds gave relief Walking a lot Follow protein liquid intake recommendations Calcium, multivitamin, vitamin D Vitamin IV bag B12 shots Liquid gas medication Blood thinners Biotene liquid for dry mouth Thank You So Much Dr. Maytorena!

Dr. Maytorena and team and team are very attentive to your needs. He answered all my questions right away and checked up on me before and after surgery and discharge. At first I was hesitant to travel far from home for the surgery, but I am very glad I did. I’m very happy I got my gastric sleeve done with Dr. Maytorena.

An amazing Doctor,so nice and kind.very attentive,answering all my questions. Personally delivered my meds to return home with. You can’t get this type of care in the States. The hospital staff was so caring, anytime I needed anything they were there. Meet new friends along the way. Rooms were so clean ,mine had a balcony to stand out on for fresh air.

I had surgery with Dr. Jorge Maytorena back in 2021 and had an incredible experience. I lost 100 plus pounds and have been able to keep my weight off. Since my surgery was successful I sent my sister in 2022 and my son this past week(2023).I love the consistency Dr. Maytorena’s team has. Everything was great. From booking to leaving a couple days after my son’s surgery. Everyone is very professional and they look after your needs while being in their hands. From the text messages to the phone calls. My experience with Dr. maytorena was the best! I had my surgery friday and sunday in was home with minimal discomfort. Dr Maytorena answered all my questions and the staff was great.
