I have had two breast surgeries - and both resulted in symmastia. I am looking for recommendations on if anyone knows of who some of the top surgeons are for correcting a breast augmentation, specifically with symmastia?
Answer: Symmastia Symmastia repair is very difficult. I would suggest a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in breast augmentation. Make sure to ask to see photos specifically of symmastia repairs that they have done.

Answer: Who is the best surgeon for a breast augmentation revision, specifically for symmastia? Symmastia is a challenging problem to correct and there is no guarantee the greatest plastic surgeon on earth could completely correct it 100% of the time (assuming you could ever get other plastic surgeons to agree who is "the best"). Depending on the current location of your implants you'll either need a pocket change to sub muscular (if you are above) or acellular dermal matrix to close off the pocket if you are already below the muscle. I would suggest having an in-person consultation by a local breast implant revision expert in your area to be properly assessed and see what your options are. Hope that helps!

Answer: Finding the right surgeon for breast augmentation revision Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you will benefit from a symmastia revision using galaflex and changing your implant position. It is very important that you thoroughly research your surgeon before committing to surgery. It is a good idea to research your surgeon's educational background, online reviews, before & after pictures, and speak with anyone who you may know who has had surgery with that surgeon. During your consultation, make sure that you don't feel rushed and make sure that you have adequate time with your surgeon and not just their patient coordinator or nurses. If the majority of your consultation is spent with someone other than the surgeon, this is usually not a good sign. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified expert surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Answer: Choosing a surgeon Dear Summer111,Many women seek improved cleavage. Narrowing the cleavage plane can be done very carefully by a skilled surgeon. Moving the implants too far medially can result in synmastia or unaboob which is very difficult to correct. That being said, the right amount of pocket dissection and implant selection can create excellent cleavage. Finding the right Dr. is extremely challenging especially with the number of online platforms and resources available. There a lot of great Dr's available. Definitely check to make sure your choice specializes in the procedure you want and spend the time to read through patient testimonials. You can always pick up the phone and call around also, find an office you feel comfortable with and set up a few consultations. Answer: Synmastia You need to find someone who is versed in repairing this problem, In particular using some of the acellular dermal matirix such as Belladerm or Alloderm. This are complicated cases and you need to find someone who has done many of them.
