Am I a good a candidate for Kybella to define my saggy jawline? I'm 45 years old, 5 feet tall and 102lbs, I exercise 4/5 days a week. I was recommended Kybella but one Dr but another second opinion told me no, that what I need it was PDO treads. Don't want to end up with loose skin after the treatment. I also read Kybella can cause nerve damages specially in that particular area I was told to treat which make me very nervous. (I've done Nova treads and Exilis before with not good results).

Answer: Nonsurgical skin tightening may be better option I don’t believe Kybella in the jowls and lower face would be helpful for you - in fact, it could lead to more skin laxity. A nonsurgical skin-tightening treatment like ThermiTight might be your best option for addressing the loose skin and improving definition along the jawline. If submental fat under the chin is also a problem, as some of your photos suggest, I would recommend a bit of liposuction to remove the fat. The two procedures can be performed in the same session for excellent, long-lasting results. Make sure you work with a board-certified dermatologist with extensive training in this type of chin contouring to ensure the best possible results.

Answer: Treating skin laxity: Best options Treatments to remove stubborn fat, such as Kybella or liposuction, will only make the skin laxity worse. In your case, a treatment to address both the fat deposits and the sagging skin will produce the best result. The best option for you is likely a lower face and neck lift that can accomplish both of these goals in a single surgery. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and recovery is 1-2 weeks. However, the results are both dramatic and long lasting. Make sure you work with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon to ensure an optimal outcome.
