One month post breast reduction and my skin is bunching under incision. Do I need a revision or will it correct in time? (Photo)

...the surgeon misplaced the incision one fingerbreadth above the submammary fold, when it should be within it... fortunately this has easy and efficient solution, re-design the pattern at a later revisional procedure.You need a surgeon who is better with his pen and able to follow his own line!

Breast reduction often results in some bunching up of the skin along this incision. This generally settles very well with time, but it may take 6-12 months to settle completely. I generally advise my patients to wait for at least 6 months postoperatively. If the incision has not settled enough by this point, then we can revise it in the office under local anesthesia.

It is just too early to really evaluate your results or your scars.  Scars will mature and improve with proper care for up to a year.  Also, you still have some swelling and things will change with time.  Follow up with your surgeon and only after a few months should you even consider a revision.

Your skin looks like it is healing well, it can take many months for the scars to settle down.  Be patient and follow your doctor's advice.

The skin irregularities and discoloration tend to improve dramatically with time.  If these irregularities persist, a revision would be indicated. Sorry ONLY 1 month. If still unhappy at 6 months than I might recommend a scar revision. BUT NOT NOW....
