Is it normal to have purple/black bruises on the lips after a full lip tattoo? (photo)

I had my lips tattooed for the first time four days ago and I noticed now that there are purple/black bruises on my lips near the corners. Is this normal?

The skin of the lips is very thin, which is why bruising is common after any procedures done here. Permanent cosmetics are shallow, but repeated injury to the area. Bruising is very common with this. If you have concerns, see the person who performed your lip treatment. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot be held as true medical advice, but only opinion. Seek in-person treatment with a trained medical professional for appropriate care."
