I had a BA 4 weeks ago, 450cc polytech under muscle. I took off steri strips for first time today. Barely any scabs. I was very gently cleansing one the scars with a soft warm wet face washer then suddenly I felt very nauseous and felt like I was about to faint. Is this normal? I wasn’t feeling any discomfort whist cleansing.

Yes, what you are describing is vasovagal syncope or fainting in response to a disturbing experience.  Many people are susceptible to this especially when seeing a surgical incision on their own body.  It is important to avoid a fall thus when cleansing the incisions I would urge to sit down when doing this.  Of course if this problem continues you should see your surgeon for exam and reassurance.
