Renuvion on chin and anterior neck lift - Is this normal 1 year post-op? (photos)

Question

Renuvion with anterior neck lift/ playtysmaplasty were suggested for my concerns. After procedure (2.5 years ago), my profile improved however, my neck still had bands, crepe, and I was left with this new pinched skin on my chin that has left me self conscious. Dr. performed revision 1 year after. Nothing changed except I got a new scar from them puncturing me during surgery. Filler was also used after revision with no improvement. What is the problem here? Are there any other options ?

Dmae thank you for sharing your photos.  I can see from your photos that you have Platysma Bands and Crepe Skin.  There are several treatment options for the Platysma Bands.  The least invasive treatment for your Platysma Bands would be regular Botox / Jeveau injection.  The most invasive procedure would be an open surgical neck lift. The open surgical neck lift will address both the platysma bands and the crepe skin, but it by far the most expensive option.  An intermediate solution would be a MyEllevate neck procedure which would divide the platysma muscles.   Please understand that after all treatments of the platysma  the muscles can reattach. There are some noninvasive treatments such as RF treatment like Fractora that can help with the crepe skin. An open surgical neck lift will give you the most complete treatment of the crepe skin.  So you have many options to consider. Wishing you the best of health

Unfortunately, I am not surpirsed by your issues following the use of this kind of gizmo. My regular followers are aware that I have been cautioning them not to fall prey to the heavy marketing and social media promotion for these kinds of expensive, "bells and whistles" whose marketing hype far exceeds any hard science to support their use. Sorry. The problems shown in the photos are actually very common ones in any active cosmetic dermatology practice. If there is a major platysma muscle for the vertical bands component, this can be treated using microdroplets of Botox, for what is called the "Nefertiti Lift."  For the static presence of the neckbands, a robust HA lifting filler can be used to tighten the peripheral areas and a cohesive, low viscosity filler may be used more centrally to further improve and smooth the area. The procedure can be done in about fifteen minutes in experienced hands and the results are typically immediate from the fillers and can take up to a week to see the results of the Botox if the Botox was necessary.  Make sure this time around to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist and needless to say be very skeptical if hawked another "next big thing" laser or RF or other energy-based device, and, of course ask to see his/her personal befores and afters before agreeing to proceed. I would suggest doing Botox on the tight muscle band on the one side of your neck. You may need some on the opposite side for symmetry. Then, you may need the full neck lift or even face lift to go back in and correct the area that is tethered.

To begin with in order to make a quality assessment on the outcome of a procedure, we always need to see proper before and after pictures. By seeing the before, pictures will begin to recognize if you were a good candidate for this procedure in the first place. Direct you reasons, patience get quality results or unfavorable outcomes from cosmetic surgical procedures. Those two variables are patient candidacy and the skill of the provider. in your case, I have a feeling, I may not have been an ideal candidate for this procedure, and likewise, the procedure was not done in an ideal manner.
It looks like your provider treated you heavy, handedly, and removed too much fat and didn’t sell in an uneven manner. 
This is left you with virtually, no subcutaneous, fat and uneven, fat, distribution and scar tissue.
As we age, we need to keep some subcutaneous fat in order to keep the skin looking normal. For that reason patients who have lost skin elasticities should be careful having liposuction and providers should recognize that these patients may not be good candidates for Liposuction, and should instead have a neck lift type procedure.
Renuvion probably made things worse by causing more inflammation, fat destruction, and scar tissue formation.
Unfortunately, Liposuction is a permanent and irreversible operation. It is very difficult to improve poorly done procedures.
Delivering consistent quality, liposuction, results is more difficult than most people believe. Because the consequences of poorly done work to lead to disfigurement patients should be far more selective than they ever thought necessary.
I recommend all patients start the process by having multiple in person, consultations to not only get an accurate assessment in regarding the candidacy for various procedures, but also to begin vetting providers to find the best surgeon in your community. The number of plastic surgeons to do a liposuction well on a consistent basis is relatively small. This procedure is far more difficult to do well on a consistent basis, including the ability to make accurate Predictable assessments than most people believe. 
During each consultation, patient should ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients who have similar body characteristics to your own. An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you with the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients.
Being shown a handful of preselected images, representing the best results of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider or how many procedures they’ve actually performed.
Unfortunately, at this point, it is going to be very difficult to have any meaningful types of improvements on your outcome.
The time to be critical of plastic surgeons is during the interview process when you’re interviewing, plastic surgeons, and vetting providers to find the best surgeon.
I wish I could be more optimistic in your case.
The choice of procedures, and how the procedure was performed are less than ideal.
