Hello, it really depends on the surgeon and the parents/patient. Parents must be present at all appointments, consultations etc. A parent must sign paperwork as well.
Although I have performed buttock implants in a minor several times, it has been for reconstructive purposes and with the consent of a parent. For cosmetic purposes, i require the patient to be a legal adult of 18 years or older. Glad to help.
The feeling among plastic surgeons is that cosmetic surgery should not be performed on a patient until he/she is 18 years old. Although this may seem like an arbitrary number, you have to draw a line somewhere. There are several reasons for this. First, almost everyone has reached their adult size by the age of 18. Second, patients who are 18 are considered more mature, mentally and emotionally, and thus in a better position to handle the rigors of surgery as well as potential complications or other issues associated with surgery. That said, there are exceptions to this "rule", however, butt implants would not be among them.
Dear Teshir, I have performed breasts augmentation with implants on a 15 years old girl. However , in her case , because of her being totally flat chest , she avoided PE in school . She was so stressed and depressed because of peer pressure and the teasing of her, that it impacted her school performance. Her parents and pediatrician strongly supported her desire to have normal looking breasts. After her surgery her behavior and confidence changed for the better. She came years later, while in college, to thank me for helping her so much. I can not see similarities to your situation as far as peer pressure. I would recommend that you wait past 18 and preferebly 22 when your growth stops and than consider the procedure which is very popular today and adds lots of confidense to the women who do it. Enjoy your teenage years to the fullest and do well in school. All the best, Dr Widder
what you are asking is not possible you should consider wait until you are an adult because taking a serious desicion very early in just life could cause more problems than good things in the future. Good luck!
Thank you for your question! Cost will vary depending on a lot of things. Find a board certified plastic surgeon who preforms these regularly, and have a consultation. Best of luck!Dr Dhaval Patel Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Chicago Hoffman Estates Oak Brook
