I had a rhinoplasty is 2018, I like my nose but it's asymmetrical especially when I smile, my columella cartilage is higher in one side that the other, I want to be in the middle! So was wondering can I put filler on side part to make it even? or what do I need T-T please help
Answer: Would you consider a permanent nonsurgical nose job? Based on your photos, you appear to have an indentation along your left nasal side wall. There is also an asymmetry at your nasal base. This is also associated with a very low nasal bridge on profile. Depending on your examination, microdroplet Silikon 1000 injections may be considered for achieving a straighter and less distracting nasal appearance. Thank you for your question. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Answer: I don't love the idea of putting filler in the columella. More... Is it the asymmetry of the columella, at the bottom of your nose on the frontal view, that you don't like? If so, then really, the best approach is to just practice ignoring it and getting used to it. It's unlikely that anyone else sees it unless you point it out to them, and you don't want some complication or new problem happening from an attempt at correction. Sometimes addressing something like that happens automatically when other area of the nose are addressed. For example, if the tip were elevated, it would decrease the prominence of that columellar prominence, and give the opportunity to further refine it during a revision. You'd have to look critically at your photos and see if there are other areas to change. But just working on the columellar asymmetry just feels to me like you'd be getting into some trouble. My two cents!

Answer: Rhinoplasty It appears that the profile is too high at the tip and that cartilage needs to be lowered slightly. This will give you more tip definition. I also think your tip needs to be raised a bit by removing some cartilage along the lower edge of your septum

Answer: Would filler on the side of my nose, help me achieve more symmetry In our practice, we would not recommend fillers placed in the nose, since they're only temporary, and can have significant complications such as skin necrosis. On the left side of your nose, you have a collapsed upper lateral cartilage and an outward deviation of your left nasal bone. You also have a hanging columella. A revision rhinoplasty can accomplish adjustments to all those areas which would it would include trimming back the excess skin and cartilage creating the crooked and hanging columella, placement of a spreader graft underneath the collapsed upper lateral cartilage on your left side, and a left-sided low osteotomy. All of us can be done with the closed rhinoplasty approach. All of the incisions are placed on the inside of the nose. No external incisions are required, and no painful packing is required either. Please look at #7 in our Rhinoplasty photo gallery link below, who had the very identical issues that you do
