Answer: Find the right surgeon Far more important than the technique is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Answer: Breast augmentation and breast lift Dear funforrestrun,Determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: If I am a sagging C cup, could I get implants to make it a full C cup? Based on your photographs, you appear to be a good candidate for breast lifting plus/minus breast augmentation surgery. Exactly what operation you should undergo, if any, will depend mainly on your personal goals best communicated carefully with a carefully selected board-certified plastic surgeon. In other words, my best advice: select your plastic surgeon carefully. Make sure that he/she has significant experience achieving the types of outcomes you will be pleased with. Then, communicate your goals carefully, as well. I find that the use of goal photographs and computer imaging are very helpful during this communication phase. Avoid using cups sizes as a reference point.Working together you will come up with a good plan to achieve your goals. Best wishes.

Answer: Breast Implants with Breast Lift Thank you for the question. It appears from your photos that you would be a candidate for breast implants. However, it does appear that you would also require a Mastopexy (breast lift) along with the implants. This will raise your nipple areolar complex and rid you of excess skin that hangs below your inframammary fold. This will also help you to achieve the upper pole volume you are speaking of. You should seek out a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who is a breast surgeon and performs many breast lifts yearly.
