How does frequent infrared sauna use affect Botox and Fillers?

Hello, thank you for your question. I generally advise patients after their Botox to avoid alcohol, aspirin and ibuprofen for 24hrs, as well as steam rooms, saunas and jacuzzis, for the main reason that I want to minimize the risk of swelling and bruising. The heat will not damage the Botox itself.

Just because it is possible to get some swelling after an injection of Botox or fillers, I would recommend waiting 24 hours before going into the sauna.  The infrared sauna should not affect the results of the Botox or fillers though.

It is not the infrared itself which could affect Botox. The heat, heavy exercise, anything that increase venous pressure like lifting very heavy weight or straining may affect distribution of the Botox in the first 24h.

Great question.  Using a sauna after Botox or fillers is okay.  I would advise waiting 24-48 hours after the initial treatment before using the sauna as you mentioned.  Sauna use is unlikely to affect fillers.  All the best.  Enjoy your sauna.
