I got a hair transplant FUE almost 2 months ago and it is still red with only few hair growing out of it. Right now, it looks completely noticeable and far from blending into my hairline. I paid for 1500 grafts to cover the areas that are currently still red from the surgery. I’m nervous that at this rate, only a few hairs will grow from the areas and it will look completely awkward and noticeable.
Answer: Follow up with your surgeon. Hair transplant is not about how many grafts you need but understanding your goals and expectations. 2000 grafts may be enough for some but may not be enough for you if your expectations are different. The results also depend on your hair color to skin color contrast, hair texture, hair style, etc.It may take 6 to 12 months to see the results of a hair transplant surgery. If you are concerned it is best to discuss it with your doctor.

Answer: FUE results It is far too early at just 2 or even 6 months to assess the result from your FUE transplant. Given your young age, I assume you are also doing something preventatively?

Answer: 1500 Grafts 1500 grafts is maybe a little light for the area, I would of estimated more towards 2000 grafts, so it is in the ballpark. The best thing to do is give it time to grow in, and if a little more hair is needed to give it the appropriate density it can easily be done.

Answer: 2 months post-op At 2 months, it is far too early to know anything. This is the hurry up and wait part of the hair transplant process. It takes 3-4 months for new hairs to start to grow and 6-9 months before you get a good majority of hairs growing. You will need to wait a full year to see full results. It may be necessary to have a "top-up" at that stage to add more density. Make sure to have ongoing discussions and follow ups with the doctor that performed the procedure to make sure that you are getting the expected results.

Answer: Time will Tell For Hair Transplant Results Two months is too early to judge the final outcome of your procedure. Your transplanted grafts will continue to wake up and grow over the next 6 months. At that time review the results and expectations with your doctor. Full results can take up to year.
