Generally mitral valve prolapse is not an obstacle to surgery.  Nevertheless it is also rare to be advised against strenuous exercise.  Get your cardiologist to write a note to your liposuction surgeon.  This should  clear up any issues.  Many women have mitral valve prolapse and generally it is no big deal.  My Best,  Dr C
