I smoked two packs one week before my surgery. Will there be any complications even if I don't smoke between now and then?

I have my appointment for abdominal and lower back liposuction for the 18th of July. So 7 days from today and I had quit for two weeks prior. Then i caved and had 2 packs and just finished the 2nd pack today. Am i in serious risk for complications if I stay clean for the next 7 days until my surgery.

Most plastic surgeons like to have their patients stop smoking at least two weeks prior to elective cosmetic surgery. However I doubt that your particular situation is significant. Nevertheless report is to your own surgeon.

The reason why plastic surgeons always recommend that you quit smoking well in advance of your surgery (liposuction, tummy tuck, etc.) is that the nicotine is known to constrict the blood vessels and impede with the normal flow of nutrient-rich blood going towards the wound.  This significantly increases the risk of skin necrosis (death of skin tissue), unnecessary scarring, prolonged recovery--just to name a few.  Just be honest with your doctor and tell him/her the real deal.  Take note that board-certified [prudent] plastic surgeons like us will do anything to help our patients avoid and minimize risk of complications.

Nicotene takes 6-8 weeks to be completely cleared out of your bloodstream. Any nicotine present in your bloodstream at the time of your surgery will put you at risk of wound healing issues among other perioperative complications. You will need to discuss this with your surgeon.
