Hi. What are the pros and cons of cheek implants! Researching for a fix to a flat midface due.

Cheek implants offer a permanent augmentation to the midface when there is a flat cheek profile.  Cheek implants are manufactured in a large array of thicknesses, sizes, and shapes which is best determined at the time of the consultation and examination.  Some patients require different sized implants based upon facial and maxilla asymmetries.  The implants themselves are placed through a intra--oral approach under brief general anesthesia as an outpatient procedure

Standard cheek implants are made for some greater volume in the malar-submalar are but are not a solution for a 'flat face'. That tern implies more of the midface is involved which may extend onto the surface of the infraorbital rims and maxilla. Standard cheek implants when applied for these concerns will often need up as aesthetically failing. The most important question is what is the surface area of coverage that you need to fix your flatter face. Once this is known then the proper choice between a standard cheek implant and a custom midface implant can be made.

Hereiam5, not sure what you mean by honest; have you gotten conflicting information in the past? I can tell you I use cheek implants fairly often. They are patient dependent so whether or not you're a candidate would be based on your exam. See an experienced plastic surgeon that operates on only faces and has photos you admire.
