baldguy50,It is impossible to evaluate your situation from a limited view- with just one picture of your donor area. It does appear that you have some thinning in the crown area, and might even have some retro-grade thinning from the neck up. Hence, the permanent donor zone is under attack from two zones above and below. An in-person evaluation is highly recommended to closely examine your donor for density, elasticity, determine if there are any contra-indications i.e. rule out scaring alopecia. We would also like to evaluate your goals and determine if they are realistic. Our goal to eclipse your desired outcome, with a groundbreaking result wherever possible!Sincerely,Bernardino Arocha, MD, FISHRS
There is no way to tell your donor hair density with a photo. You need to have an examination with a microscope to count the hair density.
I'd have to see you in person to give you a definitive answer, but from the photo your donor site looks awesome!
yes it seems to be strong .. but important thing is how man grafts you need ?What is the area of bald section ? how dense your donor area can not be assessed just from a distant photo.
Thank you for the post and photo. From looking at the photo attached, it does look like you have a good donor region. Of course, it would be best if you get the opportunity to have a in-person evaluation. Best, LAHC.
Your donor region does indeed look strong. You are a candidate for a hair restoration procedure if that is what you are asking.
As far as can be seen from the photo your donor area seems adequate for transplant surgery, but without lifting the hair up so the hairs exiting the skin area visible it's hard to say for sure.
One can not tell the quality of the donor area from such a photo. You need to be examined by a good doctor
HelloDepending on the thickness of your hair, it seems of course that you have a great donor area. Should be sufficient in case needed for large recipient areasDr Amit Gupta
While it is ok to ask for some advise here, you need to speak with a hair restoration specialist. Accutane can cause hair loss. These medications need to be monitored.
You would certainly require more than 2000 grafts for a meaningful transplant. If you undergo 2000 grafts, you would set yourself up for having to commit to having more transplants to avoid looking odd as your hair loss progresses. It is best not to have a transplant at all in that scenario....
These hairs will sooner or later shed. They are never a problem for new hairs that start to grow. Usually, there is a lag time between the time the hairs shed (2-8 weeks) and the time the new hair grows (3-8 months). IF for any reason, there is an overlap between the two, pay no attention to it...
