Yes, you can have a filler procedure without lidocaine. Restylane and Restylane Lyft are available without lidocaine. Keep in mind, it will take 1-2 weeks for final results with a chin filler procedure. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Both Allergan (the makers of Juvederm) and Galderma (the makers of Restylane) make lidocaine free syringes. In addition, Sculptra would be a great alternative for you as you could have it injected without mixing it with any lidocaine. I believe that the galderma products like restylane can be obtained without lidocaine, but lidocaine will not usually cause what you described.

There are still great many fillers available that do not have lidocaine mixed in with the product itself. Restylane, Restylane Lyft are still available without the lidocaine. As an additional note, your reaction was probably not related to the  lidocaine itself, as it is very uncommon. I would have you tested for lidocaine sensitivity. Good luck from New York City

If your issue was with the numbing cream, it may be placement of that cream that is the issue. When numbing cream is in contact with the mucus membrane of the lips, it may enter the circulation, whereas the injection of HA/ lidocaine does not enter the circulation. A tiny injection of local anesthetic at the entry for the filler would solve the problem. Fillers are injected slowly so that the lidocaine in the filler numbs as the filler advances thus reducing the discomfort of the filler. When two agents are used - topical anesthetic and filler - it is difficult to sort out which is really causing the problem. Best wishes.
