There should be minimal swelling in this area with Restylane or Juvederm. At about 1 week, the results should be what your long term results will look like. If cannulas are used, the swelling should be less than if needles are used. However, I now use Refyne or Defyne in this area and my preference is needle insertion. There can be some mild nodularity for about a week with this technique.
Hello Paulsie,The type of filler, amount used, and location greatly affect the degree of swelling. The nasolabial folds and marionette lines tend to not have that much swelling, but a moderate amount may be present. It can take up to two weeks for all of the swelling to go away. After that time if you aren't happy with the results you can see about a touch up (if not enough was done) or consider dissolving the product if it is not what you were expecting.I hope this helps and good luck.
