How long should moderate swelling last after Restylane/Juvederm in nasolabial folds and marionette lines?

Dear paulsie,Juvederm has significant swelling post injection. I would follow up with you plastic surgeon in case of concern but typically I tell all my patients to wait a full two weeks.  Generally at 2 weeks they are happy and glad they didn't dissolve.  Dissolving is unpredictable as wellDaniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS

Thanks for your question. Patients typically have swelling for a week after injections. Using cool packs or ice over the injected area can help keep swelling down. Best of luck! 

Swelling can last for 1-2 weeks after HA injections. Keep in mind, a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement in these areas. I recommend fillers for the folds themselves but also lifting around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, rf treatments, J Plasma and peels to get the most conservative natural look. Please see a facial sculpting expert.
