It's been one week since I've gotten lip fat injections and I've developed a large hard lump . What could be causing this ? I've been massaging the lump but it's not getting any better. Is this permanent ? Any solutions ?

Massaging the face when applying moisturizers should not damage fat grafts placed underneath. It may help with lymphatic drainage. By the time that your face is no longer tender to touch, it will be perfectly safe to apply moisturizer.

Fat grafting is not predictable yet. A good study showed the amount of fat which survives ranges from 30-70%. There was another study done in diabetic mice which showed 0% survival. We usually estimate about 50% survives. There are some factors which affect fat survival...
