It's been one week since I've gotten lip fat injections and I've developed a large hard lump . What could be causing this ? I've been massaging the lump but it's not getting any better. Is this permanent ? Any solutions ?

Thank you for submitting your question and photo. Your very early in your recovery from fat transfer to the lip. Swelling is assymetrical during the recovery phase.  Massage will help. Discuss your concerns with your Plastic Surgeon. Best wishes

At one week post op it is still very early and there will likely be significant change over the next few weeks. You should return to your plastic surgeon and follow their advice. RegardsDr Guy Watts

A hard lump after fat transfer particularly in the early post op period, less than 1 month will usually improve or resolve completely with time.When you get to a point when everything is soft and feels essentially like normal tissue (usually about 4 - 6 months) and the lump is still present is the time to consider intervention.
