I'm 16 years old, and this indent has been bugging me for years, people never acknowledge it, but whenever I look in a mirror I get annoyed, and it's very noticeable in pictures. To go with that, my eyes aren't symmetrical (very slightly), I'm very self conscious, and embarrassed about these things and I'm curious about what it is that's wrong with me, and possible solutions! I'm also skinny, the chin is not a fat issue, thank u
Answer: Indent above chin I appreciate your concern, but you may not like what I am about to tell you. I see what you are talking about but it is not awful and you are the only one that appears to really notice it. It is really hard to be a teenager because hormones are flying right now and nothing seems to make sense. Fillers are an option, but try to be patient. You are going to grow and gain more confidence over the next year or so. Try to recognize your positive characteristics, I am sure you have many! Forget about perceived faults like asymmetric eyes! This too shall pass. Stay positive Justin.

Answer: Using fillers and fat to fix your face Hi there,Lots of people have concerns with their appearance that other people don't give a second look to. That doesn't mean that the problem isn't real and it certainly doesn't mean that you need to live with it if you prefer to have something done. Fillers and fat transfer has become extremely popular for reversing aging changes. They can also be used for so much more. I am regularly sent patients from other plastic surgeons seeing if I can use these tools to fix anything from the simple to the very complex. There is minimal downtime and the results can be awesome. Furthermore, it is often a far better correction then anything else available. This may be just what you need. With all that said, it is still difficult to say exactly which would be the best form of correction for your concern based on your photo alone. I would strongly suggest that you see a plastic surgeon for a proper consultation and they can go over all your options including the pros and cons of each.Regards,Dr Rodger ShorttPlastic SurgeonOakville, Ontario

Answer: Nonsurgical Facial Contouring A simple injection with a synthetic filler should be able to soften the appearance of this groove and smooth out the area. Results can last as long as two years or more with some of the newer, more advanced fillers currently available.

Answer: This May Help I think there are two options for a prominent submental depression (crease above the chin) and they both can be done at the same time. Both involve injections (needles) and can be performed in the office without any type of sedation. The first is to use botox to paralyze some of the muscles near the corners of the mouth. By relaxing these frown muscles, the lip may not be as downturned. The second is to use a filler (like restalyne) to inject directly into the depression. This can fill out the area and make it less noticeable. The use of botox and restalyne here would be off label and would require parental consent in my practice for patients under 18 years of age.
