Dislike upper area of nose - what procedure would be right for me? (photos)

I’d like to know what nose procedure suits me better from your perspective after analyzing my nose on the provide pictures. I have always felt uncomfortable with the upper area of my nose. Is it a broken nose or what is it? Thank you

Based on your photos, you appear to have thick oily nasal skin with a wide nasal appearance a dorsal hump and a droopy nasal tip. Depending on your examination, rhinoplasty surgery may be considered for achieving a narrower nasal appearance along with Profile Hump reduction, and a tip lift. Since you appear to have very thick nasal skin, that would limit the results of refinement that you could achieve with rhinoplasty surgery. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph

While patients with a wide nose and thick nasal skin may require additional steps to produce a favorable result, the overall shape of your nose may be improved with rhinoplasty. Grafts may be inserted to provide adequate structural support, and osteotomies or an alar base reduction may be performed to narrow the nose. 
It’s important to note that rhinoplasty is one of the most complex of all plastic surgery procedures, requiring experience, skill, and even artistry to achieve an optimal outcome. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon, with expertise in rhinoplasty techniques. They will be able to discuss your concerns with you to determine the best approach.

You have long and asymmetric nasal bones that give the appearance of deviated and wide nasal bridge. You also have wide alar base and rounded droopy tip. Rhinoplasty surgical procedure is a good option for you to improve the appearance of your nose.

You have extremely thick skin. I think your nose low and very wide throughout. I suspect you will need the bones to be narrowed and cartilage grafting to raise the dorsum. You should expect your nose to look better but you should not expect to get a chiseled height defined result. Your skin also looks inflamed. You will get better results if you can improve the quality of your skin. I recommend Alastin Nectar and appointments with a good aesthetician. Good luck.

From the photos, it appears like your bridge is wide and flat, which makes it look washed out. The tip has thick skin and not great cartilage support. Rhinoplasty can narrow the bridge and add to it, giving you a more balanced nose. The tip can be made a little smaller at the same time. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation.

Hello! First of all thank you for your question.I have evaluated your case regarding the information you provided and your photos.From the photos it looks like you have an inverted nose. The bone on the upper area of your nose looks broken or highly deviated. This can be corrected with a rhinoplasty surgery thanks to Piezo technique. If you'd like to reshape the tip as well (which is very bulbous) it also can be done with a rhinoplasty surgery.

Every nose is different and unique to that individual. If the appearance of your nose concerns you enough to do something about it, it can be improved with a natural artistically performed rhinoplasty. What would be the best option and exact procedure would depend on an examination and discussion about desired outcome. Excellent results can be achieved with either a closed or open technique.

Keep in mind that following advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do based on very limited photos without examining you, physically feeling your tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history and discussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in your best interest. Natural appearing results need to be individualized and what is appropriate for one patient is not necessarily the best for someone else. I would suggest that you find a surgeon with extensive rhinoplasty experience certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and one who is ideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS)  that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.
