Upper and Lower Eye Advice

Question

I had lower bleph surgery and my Dr. also suggested getting my hooded eyes done. Said they’d eventually droop further. It totally changed my appearance. And now the uppers are puffy, and lowers are hollow and darker. I know that has to do with light and angle but I didn’t want to switch one problem for another. Opinions on the work, before and after, and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It is not just a matter that the lower eyelids are hollow. I would be very careful signing up more more surgery. For example, the suggestion of having a brow lift will not be of benefit. It will make you look like a deer in the headlights. I am concerned that you need a lower eyelid reconstruction. I recommend a detailed in person assessment.

Hollowness after Lower Blepharoplasty can occur if the fat isn’t repositioned and/or fat grafting is not performed. This can be addressed with volume augmentation using e.g. fillers or fat grafting.

Your eyebrows are below the level of the orbital rim. You would benefit from a brow lift. It will decrease the vertical height of the forehead, lower your hairline and raise up your eyebrows. You may also need an upper blepharoplasty.

Dear RSmj,
Guy, you look 20 years younger.  Your brows are slightly low, but sometimes that is a consequence of upper blepharoplasty without brow lift.  Did I mention you look 20 years younger?  I'm not sure what you expected.
