Unsatisfactory results from chin liposuction w/skin tightening - advice? (photos)

Question

I am a 57 YO female and had chin lipo w/skin tightening in January 2022. As you can see, the results are less than satisfactory. I was told I am a “slow healer” and the end result would take more time. It’s now July and I look worse than I did before the procedure. The PS who did the procedure has injected Botox and steroids in my neck area but I don’t think it’s going to get any better, based on what I’ve seen and read on here. Any advice/guidance is appreciated! TIA.

It's a little tough to tell what's going on from your pictures, but a few thoughts. You have platysmal banding, which looks like it was uncovered by the chin liposuction. You have some skin irregularities either from skin laxity, or from irregularities from liposuction, or both. It looks like you still have a decent amount of skin laxity, as well. Botox for the bands may be a temporary improvement, but the best fix is most likely a facelift and/or necklift to fix the skin excess and platysmal banding.

This result does happen occasionally with liposuction. You might benefit from MyEllevate, a threading procedure. Alternately you might ask your surgeon if running a laser under the skin to help tighten would be beneficial.

Liposuction causes this appearance in necks that are very heavy, fatty and have excess skin. The skin sags, platysma bands appear. For this reason, you should have had a neck lift from the first surgery. However, it can still be saved. You are now the best candidate for neck lift surgery.
