I have a bunion surgery on January 30th on my right foot and I wanted to know how long should I wait to schedule my tummy tuck surgery. I already had a bunion surgery on my left foot in November and I recovered pretty fast. I was hoping to schedule my tummy tuck in March 2024 but I’m wondering if the doctors will do the procedure

Answer: Tummy tuck after bunion surgery One of the potential complications of tummy tuck, or any surgery is getting blood clots in your leg. If on top of that you are unable to walk because of the bunion surgery, you increase the risk of DVT (deep vein thrombosis, blood clot). Once you are able to walk, not just with a splint but using your own calf muscles, then it would be better.

Answer: Tummy tuck surgery after having a bunion foot surgery Dear Imaginative5734, your bunion procedure will probably heal until you get your second surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.
