I am 39 and have noticed some loose neck skin for over a year now. I recently lost a lot of weight and the loose skin is more noticea ble. I started using tretinoin on my neck and chest three months ago. What would be best to address the sagging? Botox vs filler vs PDO threads? Morpheus RF? Quickest fix?
Answer: Treatment of Sagging Neck and Face Skin 39 is to young for a facelift. However, there are excellent non-surgical options available. Patients with moderate skin laxity of the lower face and neck are ideal candidates for the Endolift Laser which is FDA approved and used throughout Europe. I brought it to the Connecticut area to offer my patients an alternative to a surgical facelift. When used in combination with PDO Threads and possibility facial fillers, the results are ideal and the downtime is minimal. You may also benefit from selective facial fillers: Radiesse, RHA or Restylane to contour your jawline and cheeks. This will support lax skin and muscle of the lower face. The combination of the Endolift Laser, PDO Thread Lift and selective Facial Fillers is the choice for patients who wish rapid recovery, have moderate laxity of facial and neck skin and wish a natural and rejuvenated appearance. Botox will not assist sagging skin but when appropriate can diminish prominent neck bands or muscles.

Answer: Recommend doing a combination of Ultherapy and Morpheus8 to tighten the skin Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Considering options I encourage you to begin by visiting with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your desired results. The most dramatic results will be from a surgical neck lift. However if you are wanting improvement without major surgery you can consider FaceTite/AccuTite. This minimally invasive procedure uses RF technology to tighten skin. Many patients elect to add Morpheus8 treatments to optimize results.

Answer: Neck Sagging/Fat - VASERlipo, FaceTite/AccuTite, Morpheus8/Fractora, Neck Lift/Platysmaplasty; Kybella, Thermage, Ultherapy With significant neck sagging you would need a facelift / neck lift with muscle tightening (platysmaplasty). At the same time, I would recommend lasers (Fraxel, CO2, Halo, or Erbium) and microneedling RF (Fractora, Morpheus8, PiXel8, Intensif) to improve the crepey skin and wrinkles. Overall, the neck can be treated with a combination approach: 1. Microneedling and laser treatments for texture 2. Botox, Dysport, Xeomin or Jeuveau to help platysmal bands 3. Intensif, Fractora, PiXel8, or Morpheus8 microneedling RF for crepey skin and lifting 4. Injectable fillers like Belotero, Restylane Silk, Versa, and Juvederm Volbella to improve lines and folds 5. Face/neck lifting if sagging is prominent or premature, with or without platysmaplasty (muscle tightening) 6. Renuvion (J-Plasma), ThermiRF, and InMode FaceTite/AccuTite for internal tightening 7. Ultherapy and Thermage for external tightening 8. Regular Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra, or InMode Forma treatments with facials to maintain tightness 9. PDO NovaThreads or Silhouette InstaLift cone threads for lifting and long-term collagen production See an expert for a formal evaluation and to develop a personalized treatment plan based on your individual situation and goals. Answer: Best procedure to fix sagging neck skin PDO threads: PDO (polydioxanone) threads are thin, dissolvable sutures that are inserted under the skin to lift and tighten sagging skin. They can stimulate collagen production and provide a subtle lifting effect. PDO threads may be an option for improving the appearance of sagging neck skin, but the suitability can vary depending on individual factors. Botox is typically used to relax muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It may be used to address certain neck concerns, such as horizontal lines or "necklace lines." However, it is not typically used to treat sagging or loose skin. Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive fractional radiofrequency (RF) treatment that combines microneedling with RF energy. It can help tighten the skin and stimulate collagen production. Morpheus8 may be considered as an option for improving the appearance of loose neck skin, but it's important to discuss its suitability with a medical professional. Fillers, such as hyaluronic acid-based fillers, are commonly used to restore volume and add structure to areas of the face. While they can be used to address some signs of aging, such as marionette lines or wrinkles around the mouth, they may not be the most effective option for sagging neck skin. A neck lift can be considered as a comprehensive option for addressing sagging neck skin. It is a surgical procedure that involves removing excess skin and tightening the underlying muscles to improve the overall appearance of the neck. A neck lift can provide more significant and long-lasting results compared to non-surgical options. I hope this helps, Best of luck !
