I'm 41 years old and I'm really noticing how much my neck is aging which makes me very self-conscious. I did try botox in my neck last year, but I wasn't blown away with the results. I don't want anything surgical just yet, but I was wondering if there are any non-surgical treatments that might work for me? I was particularly wondering about some jawline filler. Would that help to lift the area?

Answer: Non surgical treatment plan for jaw line and neck area : combined treatment with filler, Profhilo, Botulinum toxin and Morpheus Hi, thank you for your question and for providing a picture. In my opinion, the lower face (jaw line, jowls, marionette lines) and neck area are the most challenging areas to treat because the results are not always satisfactory and may not meet expectations. This is because the aging process, which involves bone and fat absorption as well as a reduction in collagen and skin elasticity, affects not only the lower face and neck but also the upper and mid-face areas such as the temporal area, cheek, and mid-face. My approach always involves a detailed assessment of the face and neck as a whole unit to identify the aging trigger points and determine which areas of the face need to be prioritized and treated in order to restore lost volume and achieve a natural-looking lifting effect. In my opinion, the first option for improving the appearance of a crepey neck is a neck surgical lift, as this procedure can remove excess skin. However, surgical lift involves surgical incisions and scars. If you prefer a non-surgical option, we can consider treatments that improve volumization and structure on the lower face (jaw line) and tighten the skin on the neck area. In my opinion, the best approach for your case would be a combination of fillers on the jaw line to give structure and support, along with radiofrequency procedures such as Face/Necktite and Morpheus 8 or Renuvion/J plasma, Exilis 360 Ultra for tissue contraction (fat and skin tightening) on the lower face (jaw line, jowls, marionette lines), and neck area. This procedure can be performed awake with local anesthesia. For the neck area, the combination of botulinum toxin and Profhilo® can also be a good option if you want to increase skin tone, texture, and tightness. I would recommend making an appointment with a doctor who is an expert in face/neck treatments, including skin tightening procedures, for a medical assessment in order to create a bespoke treatment plan. Best wishes, Dr. Giuseppe Fiore

Answer: Skin Tightening for the Neck -- Kybella, Ultherapy, PDO NovaThreads, Thermage vs VASER Lipo w/ ThermiRF, Neck Lift A combination of non-surgical options like Kybella, PDO NovaThreads, Ultherapy and Thermage would do well in combination for skin tightening for the neck. VASER Liposuction (with ThermiRF, Renuvion and InMode FaceTite) is a great alternative for contouring and tightening the chin and neck and can be combined with a neck lift at the same time, if you're a candidate. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to develop a long-term treatment plan that works for you. Best, Dr. Emer.
