Will the wrinkles around the nipples dissapear as time goes by? Why do I have them? Does my result seem okay? (photo)

Dear Girlzka,Thank you for your question. This wrinkling is very common with the type of lift you had. It will flatten out over time, but can take months. Be patient! If you have any concerns, it is best to discuss them with your operating surgeon. Best of luck! 

Hi Girlzka the folds are part of the healing process even the tissue is inflamed, so you can see in the picture the scar is fine, the folds are the last thing to be retracted because it is a retraction that makes the skin not Worry that the folds are going to be removed, as long as you do not observe the point mentioned in the photo I recommend you check with your doctor but there is nothing to worry about.

Usually, the incisions settle down with more time. Be patient with the results, they actually still look pretty swollen.

The pleating around the nipple areolar complex is very common. It is for geometric reasons from the size difference between the previous nipple size and the new one and also skin tension. They almost always go away after 3 months or so. I would encourage you to continue going to follow up visits with your surgeon and wait.

The periareolar or Benelli lift involves removing a "ring" of skin around the periphery of the areola. The operator is then tasked with suturing a larger circle to a smaller circle which will lead to a degree of wrinkling between each suture. As deeper sutures dissolve and as the scar remodels, the tissues will soften and the wrinkling will become less pronounced. This process takes more than 6 months to be accomplished.
